On the 18th of January our team attended the Satellite Conference, which was held at János Neuman Faculty of Informatics, University of Óbuda. The event gave great opportunities to introduce our project, get to know the other participants’ creations and to get valuable feedback.

 

The program started at 12’o clock with the opening ceremony and the welcome, the thoughts of István Arnócz (Secretary of MANT) and Péter Vári (Deputy Chief Director of NMHH) among others set the basic mood for the day. The following technical presentation given by Artúr Balázs (Suborbitals) was really informative and answered many of our questions.

 

The main event of the afternoon was the introduction of the teams, where everyone could show the current progress of the development of their CanSat. We are especially thankful, that many participants and organisers expressed their interest in our project and regarded it greatly, it gave us futher motivation. Throughout the day we recieved personal advice from the jury, the previous winner and organisers, which helped us to avoid possible errors and flaws.

 

The end of the conference was topped off by the exciting announcment of Örs Hunor Detre (Founder of CanSatLap), after which the jury and CapySat shared their observations and general advice giving useful reference point for future developments. The event ended with the closing words of Levente Ferenczi.

 

The Satellite Conference was not only important professionaly, it also brought new connections and strenghtened us, so we can reach a higher potential during the CanSat competition.
